They say that writing and publishing a book is somewhat akin to giving birth to a child. I suppose they mean the labor is hard and somewhat painful. While I can tell you that completing a book is much less wearing on your body, I would agree that it is exhausting and rewarding at the same time...much like childbirth.
I suppose those who say such things are also referring to the personal nature of a book you have authored. You do indeed pour your heart and soul into your composition. And when it is complete you feel like part of you, a very personal and intimate part of you, is bound between those covers.
So I'd like to introduce to you my newest "baby."
A Taste of Satisfaction is written much the same way as Sarah Young wrote the contemporary classic devotional guide, Jesus Calling. Basing every word and thought on Scripture, I wrote each devotional entry as though Jesus himself is speaking to the reader. I have learned that meditating on the Word of God is truly the secret to a satisfied and contented life. And I want to share that discipline with you.
