As summer's heat continues to build and press in,
may the Lord grant you cool breezes of refreshment
from His living Word.
May the questions with which you wrestle
find their answers in the morning's daily bread.
May the unexpected challenges
be answered with the peace that passes all understanding.
May the conflict you didn't bargain for
find its resolution when you apply the soothing balm of Gilead.
May words of encouragement echo in your mind
when you begin to grow weary with the mundane,
the toilsome,
the disappointing,
the "again."
May bold truths set you securely on the heights you must climb.
And may there even be words of quiet benediction
that soothe you
and bring your day of adventure to a close,
a sweet and secure and solid
close.
"They drink their fill of the abundance of Thy house;
And Thou dost give them to drink of the river of Thy delights.
For with Thee is the fountain of life;
In Thy light we see light."
