Has God satisfied your soul with good things overflowing,
with the passing of each day?
Praise Him.
Has He spoken love into your wanting heart,
security into your shaking knees?
Has He lifted your countenance so you could see
from a better perspective?
Has He infused your unsure spirit with courage and passion,
your wandering mind with focus and commitment?
Praise Him.
Has God come through for you when no one else did?
Did He prove Himself to never leave you or forsake you?
Did He supply joy amidst the disappointment,
peace throughout the storm,
songs above the mayhem,
and light in the darkness?
Praise Him, sweet sister!
For He is mighty, mighty good.
And may your weekend prove to be a time
of rest and rejuvenation for your soul,
as you take a break from the mundane,
the scheduled, and the work.
But may you notice with new awareness
that He does not sleep;
neither does He slumber.
For the Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is His faithfulness.
And we will again say,
"The Lord is my portion, everything I need and crave.
Therefore I have hope in Him."
Amen.
