A Fun Day at Work

I love working from home, but it definitely has its drawbacks, too. The dogs whine for my attention, the laundry beckons me across the hall from my office, and the refrigerator is far too close for comfort. Still, I love being able to create my own work space, set my own hours, and choose my own work style.

I have a lovely office to work in at home - all decked out in Warm Muffin paint (a soft yellow/gold), a red and gold striped taffeta valance, a sweet rocking chair and an old wooden desk. But if I were to create the new office of my dreams this is what it would look like. Never mind that I can't afford anything in this dream!

Meanwhile, I try to make my home office warm and inviting (so I'll spend more time there and be productive!) with meaningful pictures on the wall, good books on the shelf, and a nice smelling candle on my desk. But a girl can dream, right?

By the way, I created this "dream office" on Polyvore. Do you create there too?

How do you create a pleasant work environment?
